Another big race day and beginning of the Europecup week
Olympia Bob Run
Like yesterday, another big day at the Olympia Bob Run: Once again a lot of athletes from all over the world came to St. Moritz-Celerina to participate in 3 competitions - the "2. Audi Monobob Race", the "Airport Garage Geronimi Race" for the bobs and the "4protection Focus Race" for the skeletons.
The day began with the monobob race: Junior Marius Schneider from Switzerland celebrated again a great victory ahead of Joe della Santina and Cedric Follador.
In the second competition of the day, the skeleton race "4protection Focus Race" three americans sweeped the podium: Greg West won 67 hundreths ahead of Austin McCrary. Stephen Garbett finished in third.
The last race of the day was the "Airport Garage Geronimi Race": 15 2(wo)men-bobsleigh-teams fought for the victory. At the end, Justin Olsen with Evan Weinstock (USA) won just 14 hundreths ahead of Team Bracher. In third position, Team Höfliger (all Switzerland).

In the evening the team captians meeting for the coming Europe cup week took place in the Hotel Bären, St. Moritz. More than 200 athletes will participate in these international races.

2men bob: Wednesday, 27th of January; 1.15pm (livestream available)
Skeleton men/women: Thursday, 28th of January; 10.15am (livestream of the 2nd runs available)
2women bob: Friday, 29th of January; 9am (livestream available)
4men bob: Saturday, 30th of January; 9 am (livestream available)

Ein weiterer umfangreicher Renntag und Beginn der Europacup-Woche
Wie gestern, ein weiterer umfangreicher Tag am Olympia Bob Run: Erneut kamen viele Athleten aus der ganzen Welt nach St. Moritz-Celerina um an den drei Wettkämpfen - dem "2. Audi Monobob Race", dem "Airport Garage Geronimi Race" für die 2er-Bob-Fahrer(Innen) und dem "4protection Focus Race" der Skeletonis - teilzunehmen.
Der erste Wettkampf des Tages war das Monobobrennen: Der Junior Marius Schneider aus der Schweiz feierte abermals einen überlegenen Sieg vor Joe della Santina und Cederic Follador .
Im zweiten Wettkampf des Tages, dem Skeletonrennen "4protection Focus Race", gab es ein rein amerikanisches Podium. Greg West gewann 67 Hundertstel vor Austin McCrary und Stephen Garbett.
Das letzte Rennen des Tages war das "Airport Garage Geronimi Race": 14 2er-Bobteams kämpften um den Sieg: Justin Olsen mit Evan Weinstock (USA) gewannen 14 Hundertstel vor dem Team Bracher. Auf dem dritten Platz: Team Höfliger (alle Schweiz).

Am Abend fand noch das Teamcaptainsmeeting für die kommende Europacup-Woche im Hotel Bären, St. Moritz statt. Mehr als 200 Athleten werden an diesen internationalen Rennen teilnehmen.
