Anna Fernstädt (GER) und Nikita Tregubov (RUS) sind IBSF Skeleton Junioren Weltmeister

Olympia Bob Run

Heute fanden am Olympia Bob Run St. Moritz-Celerina die ersten Rennen der IBSF Junioren Weltmeisterschaften statt. Die ursprünglich für Freitag geplanten Skeleton-Rennen wurden aufgrund der Wettervorhersagen auf heute, Donnerstag, 25. Januar 2018, vorverlegt.
Das erste Rennen des Tages war der Wettkampf der Juniorinnen. Anna Fernstädt aus Deutschland konnte sich mit zwei sehr guten Läufen mit 81 Hundertstel Vorsprung auf die Zweitplatzierte Yulia Kanakina (RUS) durchsetzen. 1,01 Sekunden hinter der Siegerin platzierte sich Susanne Kreher aus Deutschland. Auf dem 4. Platz landete Janine Becker (GER). Die Top-6 wurden von Alina Tararychenkova (RUS) und Madelaine Smith (GBR) komplettiert. Die beste Schweizer Teilnehmerin, Alena Huber, landete auf dem 12. Platz (+ 5,11 Sekunden).

Im Anschluss an die Frauen fand das Rennen der Herren statt. Die russische Mannschaft beeindruckte dabei mit einer tollen Mannschaftsleistung: Am Ende setzte sich der Russe Nikita Tregubov mit 93 Hundertstel Vorsprung auf seinen Teamkollegen Vladislav Marchenkov durch. Der Deutsche Felix Keisinger sicherte sich mit einem Rückstand von 1,10 Sekunden auf Nikita Tregubov die Bronzemedaille. Evgeniy Rukosuev (RUS), Katsuyuki Miyajima (JPN) und Felix Seibel (GER) landeten auf den Plätzen vier bis sechs. Der beste Schweizer, Samuel Keiser, beendete das Rennen auf dem 13. Rang.

Today, the first races of the IBSF Junior World Championships took place at the Olympia Bob Run St. Moritz-Celerina. Originally, the races were planned for Friday, but due to the weather forecast, the races were moved to today, 25 Thursday 2018.
